NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Avo – owned by Executive Chef Nick Lama and his wife Melissa Lama – announced the beginning of renovations to its restaurant entry and 50-seat courtyard starting Monday, July 1. The 1,200 sq. ft renovation will include stylish interior updates reflective of Southern Italy, while adding necessary enhancements including an upgraded air conditioning and watertight roof. The courtyard will feature large windows open to Magazine and Elenore Streets to maintain its candlelit, garden ambiance and preserve the overall feel of the space. The renovation is set to be complete by September 1. **Avo’s interior dining room and bar will remain open for guests to dine throughout the renovation.**
What’s going on at Avo this summer?
- Avo’s new weekday Happy Hour (M-Th, 4-6 p.m., MENU below) features a selection of snacks and pastas, specialty cocktails, wines by the glass and a summer spritz menu.
