BABs Restaurant Announces Fall Programming, Wine Club and Pasta Night

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – BABs, Bywater restaurant helmed by acclaimed Chef/Owner Nina Compton and her partner Larry Miller, will launch new programming this fall designed to connect with the community and bring fun activations to the restaurant. This season, locals and visitors can enjoy BABs Wine Club, Wine Wednesdays, Pasta Night and Aperitivo Hour.

New seasonal menu items have just been unveiled and include Gulf fish with fall vegetables and pumpkin brodo,  apple and olive oil cake with apple ice cream and brown butter apples, and burrata with marinated beets, collard greens pesto and grilled bread. New seasonal cocktails include Birch and Braulio with Braulio Italian liqueur, house birch soda and lemon; and Sidro – an Italian apple cider.

Wine Club: Curated Journey through Wine

Wine lovers unite! Join the exclusive BABs Wine Club, curated by Chloe Harrison and Larry Miller, where members will enjoy a monthly selection of hand-selected wines from BABs, as well as accompanying educational content, tasting notes and backstories about the wines, vineyards and producers behind the month’s selections. Members will also receive first access to BABs events, insider information on new dishes and cocktails, and delicious treats from the kitchen. Prices start at $75 for two bottles, $135 for four bottles, and $200 for six bottles. Memberships can be completed on Table 22 – HERE.

Wine Wednesdays: Mid-Week Delights and Bottle Special

For those looking to make their weeknight dinner more special, Wine Wednesdays are the perfect time to indulge in discounted wine bottle specials. Enjoy bottles of wine for 25% off, carefully chosen to complement BABs’ menu.

Tulane surgeon Dr. Jacquelyn Turner is helping expand treatment options and improve patient outcomes across the Gulf South.

On Thursday evenings, head to BABs for a Pasta Party. Guests can enjoy $15 rotating specialty pasta dishes. Options might include Butternut Squash Cannelloni with brown butter and sage, Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Brussels sprouts, and Pici Pasta with goat bolognese. Optional wine pairing is available. 

Aperitivo Hour: Pre-Dinner Indulgence 

Aperitivo Hour is the best kind of happy hour. Every Monday through Sunday from 5:30 – 7 p.m., sip on Italian drinks like Aperol or Cardamaro Spritz, Classic Aperitif, and selections of House Aperitifs while enjoying small plates, which include Warm Olives with chili flakes and rosemary; Mozzarella en Carozza; and Half Dozen Chilled Gulf Oysters with Calabrian dressing.
