Touro celebrates the place “where babies come from.”

Everyone in New Orleans knows Touro as “the place where babies come from,” and to celebrate all the birthdays they support, the Touro Family Birthing Center, which delivers more babies than any hospital in the city, held its second annual Here For Life Gala on October 9.

The event was held at the Sheraton New Orleans and featured “Soul Queen of New Orleans” Irma Thomas and jazz guitarist Javier Olando; DJ Beverly Skillz performed at the after-party in the Rodrigue Ballroom.

Honorary chairs included the Goldring family and JoAnne Greenberg; Nancy Bissinger Timm served as event chair.
Proceeds from the event will go to a major expansion of the Touro Birthing Center (just in time to accommodate the Super Bowl baby boom!), including the addition of labor and delivery rooms, post-partum rooms, C-section prep suits and state-of-the-art fetal monitoring system.
