Bah Humbug Bar Takeover & Holiday Luncheons at The Bower

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – This winter, The Bower Bar – the indoor/outdoor bar next door to The Bower – is gearing up for the season with a holiday-themed Bah Humbug Bar Takeover available through Dec. 30.  

Revelers can enjoy Christmas-themed décor and over seven specially curated holiday cocktails in fun glassware from Beverage Director Mickey Mullins. Libations, priced from $13 – $20 include the Magazine Street Miracle with bourbon, banana liqueur, and walnut bitters; Manger Baby Margarita with house strawberry tequila, lime, and triple sec; and Scrooge’s Cider – served in a holiday mug with 360 Red Delicious Apple Vodka, False River Spiced Rum, and warm house-made apple cider; C-Yourself Out with gin, orgeat, lemon juice and aquafaba; Silver and Gold Sidecar with 1738 Cognac, vanilla bean simple syrup, lemon, and Alma Plantation raw cane sugar rim; Christmas Cosmo with Satsuma Vodka, house grenadine, triple sec and lime; The Holidate with vodka, vanilla bean lemonade, and butterfly pea flower; The Merry Mensch with tequila, poblano liqueur, passion fruit, and smoked salt; Leave Me at the Plaza Hotel with Redemption rye, Dopo Teatro, and bitters; Nightmare Before Christmas with Fernet Menta, peppermint hot cocoa, and mini marshmallows; Eggnog Daiquiri with False River Spiced Rum, Italian amaro, vegan soft serve, and winter spice; and Hallmark Christmas Classic with frozen bourbon pumpkin spice latte. 

Next door at The Bower, Executive Chef Marcus Woodham will delight diners with a Bah Humbug three-course holiday luncheon, available on Friday, Dec. 15, and Friday, Dec. 22, only. Priced at $50 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

WHEN/WHERE: The Bah Humbug Bar Takeover will run now through December 30th at The Bower Bar. The bar is open Monday – Thursday from 4-9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 4-11 p.m

The Bower Bah Humbug Luncheons will take place on Friday, Dec. 15, and Friday, Dec. 22, with seatings available from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Reservations can be made on OpenTable
