It’s rumored that nail polish giant O.P.I. is planning to launch a New Orleans-themed line of nail polish. But, did you know we already have a local company that created original New Orleans nail polish for the masses? Native Polish is a native New Orleans company made by local women for local women – or those wanting bring a little of the Crescent City to their every day lives. Putting the humor into potholes and spicing things up with some hot sauce, Native lets the wearer express their passion for the city.
Native Polish recently debuted its first fall lineup. The line includes dark hues, bright reds and light, sandy colors with names as great as their colors: Gulf Oyster, Revelry, Pothole, Voodoo Vixen, Hot Sauce and Out on Frenchman. Our personal favorites are Pothole, because of it’s neutral hue, and Hot Sauce for its spunk.
Native Polish is the perfect New Orleans flair to add to any wedding or bridal party. Pick a color to match with your maids or put one in a gift bag for out of town guests. Native Polish, while being trendy, also eases the mind. Each bottle is vegan, not tested on animals and doesn’t include the five common chemicals found in nail polish, including formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin.
Native Polish can be found at a number of salons and boutiques throughout the city. The complete list can be seen here on the company's Facebook page.
