Jacques Rodrigue is Executive Director for the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts. Most people associate artist George Rodrigue with his world-famous iconic Blue Dog image. However, many are unaware that Rodrigue’s art foundation, which began in 2009, is enriching children’s lives through art. George’s son, Jacques, describes how the foundation has grown in two short years. Jacques explains that in addition to awarding money to promising Louisiana talent, the foundation is also about helping kids learn how to think. He points out that drawing challenges children to think in ways that schools often do not teach, thus expanding their creative vistas. Listen here!
