11/17: Vermilionville Cochon-de-lait: Café’ Vermilionville invites the community to participate in a traditional roast on its historic grounds this Sunday. Artisan Jay Steiner will emcee throughout the day’s activities, which include cooking demonstrations on cracklins, jambalaya and boudin. Soup making demonstrations and beer tastings are on tap as well. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5, and kids six and under get in free. 11/17: Earthshare Gardens Farm Fresh Brunch: Esprit de Coeur will host Scratch Farm Kitchen this Sunday for a farm-to-table brunch experience! Unique, in-season menu items comprised of locally grown fruits, vegetables and meats will be available. Vegetarian options and mimosas are a highlight, as is a silent auction and performance from the Swamp Blossoms. Proceeds go toward Earthshare Gardens. Tickets are $60 per adult, $10 per child ages six to 12 and $5 for children five and younger. Bottomless satsuma mimosas are $10 per adult. Tickets are available here.
11/15: Wineaux 2019: Sugar Mill Pond in Youngsville invites everyone to sip and shop this Friday evening for what’s sure to be a festive way to shop for Christmas presents! From 5-10 p.m., taste from 10 booths with more than 25 wines. If there’s one you particularly like to imbibe, the wine and market bar will serve wine by the bottle, glass, or even case. Beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be available as well. More than 20 local shops will have pop-ups! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra’s educational outreach programs. Tickets starting at $25 are available here.
11/16: Dog Adoption Day at Greenroom: Pups from the St. Martinville Animal Shelter will be at the Greenroom this Saturday from 5-7 p.m. for its first-ever dog adoption event! Though the bar is usually dog-friendly, attendees are asked to leave their dogs at home – unless you plan on bringing another home! Greenroom will have an outside area for your current and future pets to meet.
11/15: Digital Marketing Day: Rally Marketing and Innovate South come to the Acadiana Center for the Arts this Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a series of presentations and workshops! Formerly known as Social Media Day, the fourth annual summit features seminars from locally and nationally accomplished social media juggernauts. The conference kicks off with coffee and breakfast at 8 a.m. and will close with a happy hour wrap-up at TULA Tacos + Amigos. Tickets range from $40-$100 and can be purchased here.
