Trends aren’t really my thing when it comes to décor because I’m a lover of midcentury modern and tend to stick with that as a theme for my own interiors. That said, a good color trend can serve as inspiration for a periodic or seasonal refresh. Which is why when Benjamin Moore announced its 2023 Color of the Year, my ears and eyes perked up.
The color is “Raspberry Blush,” and is a lot more coral than berry, but it does have a hint of pink and a lot of sass.
I’m loving “Raspberry Blush” employed as a neutral with shades of beige as accents, as opposed to the other way around with pops of rosy coral throughout the room.
For the truly daring, going all out with various shades of pink and rose would be a major statement. Those of us who love the idea of such boldness, a powder room in this palette would slay — just the right amount.
What do you think? Will you go bold at home with this rosy hue? Or avoid it at all costs? Email me at melanie@myneworleans.com to rave or rant.
