Each year, The Knot undergoes a rigorous process of compiling reviews and online statistics through its wedding planning portal to find the wedding professionals it deems the Best of Weddings.
Especially in the Greater New Orleans area, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of wedding professionals a couple can chose from. And The Knot takes the time to go through reviews and rankings of the different vendors on their site for each area of the country and awards only a small percent of vendors to receive the honor.
This year, roughly 130 professionals from around the New Orleans area were honored as the best of the best in the wedding industry.
In a press release announcing they received the honor for the second year in a row, Kim Priez, senior vice president of Tourism at New Orleans & Company, said, “Receiving the Best of Weddings award for the second year in a row is a testament to the hard work put in every day by our team. As we enter engagement season, it is influential to have this designation from one of the most respected sources in the industry, establishing New Orleans as a choice wedding destination and our company as a respected wedding resource.”
From florists to makeup artists and caterers to ceremony reception locations, no stone was left unturned this year. A few standouts – and the only company to receive the award – in their categories include florist IRIS Floral + Event Design Studio, I Do Bridal Couture in Baton Rouge for top bridal salon, and Luminous Events of New Orleans for lighting – among others.
