This is a perfect month to spotlight the 36th annual Children’s Hospital “Sugarplum Ball.” We all express love on Valentine’s Day, and Children’s Hospital gives the most incredible pediatric care to their young patients, which now will include help for their families with a new Patient Family Housing Initiative! Thanks to Co-Chairs Cherie Albro and Jamie Cangelosi for chairing the “Sugarplum Ball” on April 1, which will be held at the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad. The theme this year is “Casino Royale: A Night in Monte Carlo” and all proceeds will help build 28 private suites for families that will be here for extended stays. What a show of love! Thanks to patients Christopher and Henry Dufrene for gracing our cover! These special boys were born with congenital heart defects and have had numerous surgeries and procedures at Children’s Hospital since birth. This new facility will help their families be closer to Christopher and Henry. To purchase tickets, please go to CHNola.org/Sugarplum.
