NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The biannual Orleania Open Studios will take place at the former North Robertson Art Studios (NORO) on Friday, March 28. NORO, which is now known as Orleania Art Studios, has been a fixture of the New Orleans art scene for almost a decade, bolstering the creative endeavors of New Orleans’ artists and creatives via affordable workspaces, exhibition opportunities, continuing education workshops and programming.
Orleania Open Studios is a self-guided art experience, offering attendees the opportunity to meet artists and creatives in their working studios, find out about their practices, and purchase work directly from them while enjoying live music, refreshments and a courtyard party.
Participating artists include: Zue, Kinsey Doing Things + XOLO, Combicombi, Discosaics, Darrin Butler, Bad Dog Books, Honey The Fool, Sasha Solodukhina, DJ Eugene Oubliette, Lady Gold HeArt, Tom Friel, James Block, Nola Pottery Collective, Upper 9 Recording Studios, Robert Haskall, Sarah Algier, Gabriel Flowers, S. Wang, Epaul Julien, Tony Hollums, Brandy Dufrene, Mitchell Long, Max Bernardi, Anabella Tsarov, Jeff Ring, The Neon Gallery, Horatio Baltz, Jakob, Angel Cutno, Monster of the Underworld, Todd White and Treehouse Laboratory, and George Dolgy.
EL PASTOR will offer a variety of Latin American street food and music will be provided by Bogdan Mynka, Jack Place, Tasche de la Rocha and DJ Tom Harvey.
Orleania Open Studios is free and open to the public.
