NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Historic BK House & Gardens and Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) have joined the New Orleans Public Library’s Culture Pass program, which provides the opportunity for Library cardholders to visit a variety of attractions across the city for free.
“The Culture Pass purpose has always been to connect our cardholders to places they may not otherwise visit in this diverse city,” said Emily Painton, the Library’s executive director and city librarian. “Music and architecture tell the story of New Orleans, and we are overjoyed for our cardholders to experience the Historic BK House & Gardens and LPO.”
Annie Irvin, executive director for the Historic BK House & Gardens, is thrilled to partner with the Library to invite local visitors to the French Quarter to tour the property.
“Visitors will be treated to 200 years of French Quarter history as told through the many people and families who have lived and labored on site,” Irvin said.
The LPO is also proud to partner with the New Orleans Public Library to offer Library cardholders the opportunity to experience their orchestra programs.
“We believe that the arts are an integral part of the human experience, and we are dedicated to making our performances accessible to the community we serve,” says LPO Executive Director Anwar Nasir. “Partnerships such as this help to build and strengthen our community and we look forward to library patrons joining us for a season of amazing music!”
