BK House Highlights June 2026 Events

NEW ORLEANS – The Historic BK House and Gardens always has something going on and the team recently highlighted its upcoming June events.

The Baroness de Pontalba Returns to Chartres Street on Wednesday, June 3, with a literary lecture by authors Rory O’Neill Schmitt, PhD and Rosary O’Neill, PhD.  The mother-daughter duo will enlighten guests on never-before published information they uncovered while researching their latest book, “The Blood of the Baroness.”  The insightful presentation will begin at 6 p.m.; doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided, with a specialty cocktail courtesy of the Baroness on Baronne. 

Tickets are $15 for nonmembers; $10 for members and may be purchased at www.bkhouse.org.

VCPORA and BK House will again partner to present the popular Quarter Kaleidoscope on Wednesday, June 10, at 6 p.m.  The live storytelling series that highlights the French Quarter as a community, not a commodity, will feature Liz Green, Ennis McKenzie, Amzie Adams, Glenn Miller, and Alicia “Blue Eyes” Renee. Light refreshments will be provided for the event.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

As BK House celebrates its Bicentennial, future events will include 4th of July festivities, YEAH! YOGA classes, an August Bicentennial Birthday Party, and more.
