It is a Wednesday. I have a formal event to attend on Thursday and I have no idea what I will wear. I wish I could say this was the exception, but it is in fact, the rule. Which is why my closet is comprised of mostly black and white pieces. It may sound safe or dare I say boring, but if you lack the planning gene (guilty) then it offers the most freedom. By following this rule, you can mix and match just about anything in these two colors and it will look chic. Plus, you aren’t tied to one type of garment. Not in the mood for a dress? Grab your black pants and white blouse. Not in the mood for pants? Throw on your black skirt and white top. Then, you can spend the rest of your time tying it all together with colorful accessories. Sure, it’s fun to pattern mix but for most days, black and white just gets it done!
