Nestled in a cozy block of trendy Magazine Street is a new bridal couture showroom quickly taking the New Orleans bridal world by storm. Blanc Bridal Couture opened its doors last month. A dominant social media presence and participation in every bridal event in the city has quickly boosted the boutique’s profile. The 1,800-square-foot showroom is adorned with gowns from 10 different wedding lines, a colorful selection of bridesmaid dresses and a modest assortment of veils and other bridal bling. Three mirrored viewing areas give brides and their entourage the perfect pedestal when trying on dresses. The appointment only mentality paired with consultants with prior knowledge from other New Orleans bridal boutiques insures that each customer receives an uninterrupted, one-on-one consultation with an experienced bridal consultant.
We recently viewed the renovated space and chatted up the Blanc team. They gave us the need-to-know details about the shop and let us take sneek-peek snapshots for LTEC readers.
- Store Hours: Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., by appointment and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., by appointment
- Inventory: 10 wedding gown lines and five bridesmaid lines
- Big designer labels include Badgley Mischka Bride and Badgley Mischka Couture
- Gown Selection: Order 10 to 12 months in advance to allow ample time for alterations and bridal portraits, however Blanc can accommodate a shorter time frame under special circumstances
- Bridesmaid Selection: The Blanc team recommend finalizing bridesmaid dress selections six to nine months prior to the wedding but can accommodate a shorter time frame, if necessary
