NEW ORLEANS (press release) – City Park’s horticulture team planted their iconic Cosmos seeds in two varieties: Cosmos bipinnatus ‘sensation mix’ (the pink and white flowers) and Cosmos sulphureus ‘bright lights’ (the orange and yellow). The wildflowers will bloom in approximately four weeks.
By making a general donation to the park’s spring campaign, you will directly impact the continued beautification and preservation of City Park. As a small ‘thank you,’ no matter the amount donated, you will receive a packet of the park’s own Cosmo wildflower seeds to bring a piece of City Park to your home. Additionally, every Friday-Sunday from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., Pelican Greenhouse hosts a plant sale. Visit the Pelican Greenhouse for a large selection of plants for sale. Many of the plants are propagated from cuttings, seeds and divisions from specimens growing in the Botanical Garden.
