Blue Cypress Books Presents Book Banter with Lisa Teasley

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Blue Cypress Books hosts Book Banter with author Lisa Teasley on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 5 p.m. Lisa Teasley will discuss her new book, “Fluid: Stories.” The event will include a live Q&A. Lisa Teasley will be in conversation with Blue Cypress Books Event Specialist, Rayna Nielsen.

Book Banter is a virtual event series that streams live on Blue Cypress Books’ Facebook and YouTube. The event is free and open to the public. The short stories in FLUID are set in California, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Northern England, and Namibia, taking a deep dive into the vastly differing perspectives of an intriguingly diverse collage of characters, who are navigating lives within society’s most challenging contemporary issues.

Lisa Teasley is the author of the award-winning story collection Glow in the Dark (Cune Press), and the critically acclaimed novels, Dive and Heat Signature (Bloomsbury). Her writings have been translated into French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, and Arabic. Lisa Teasley’s stories and essays have been much anthologized including in the W.W. Norton anthology Flash Fiction America, 2023 and Europa Editions The Passenger: California, 2022. She is the writer and presenter of the BBC television documentary “High School Prom,” which was in longterm rotation in the UK, and she is currently working on a commissioned opera libretto. More info here.
