NEW ORLEANS (press release) – From Tuesday, Dec. 8, – Saturday, Dec. 19, Blue Oak BBQ has a special gift for the city of New Orleans: 12 Days of the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich (yes, Christmas does come early!)
But in all seriousness, a portion of proceeds from every cult-favorite, Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich sold will go towards the “Blue Oak Son of a Saint Fund,” to feed Son of a Saint families in need this holiday season while supporting small restaurants during the pandemic. The funds raised from this campaign will benefit one of our favorite local establishments, McHardy’s Chicken & Fixin’, and they will in turn use the revenue to provide delicious Christmas meals for Son of a Saint families.
The work Son of a Saint is doing is so important. Son of a Saint equips fatherless boys with the tools they need to become productive men. They give them hope, vision and opportunity while providing a secure and consistent environment for them. Blue Oak BBQ Co-Owner Philip Moseley is a program mentor and highly involved with the organization.
