Local chefs showed off their talents and impressed guests at the 10th annual Summer Cure Chefs Wine Dinner on Friday, July 29. The event, sponsored by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure New Orleans Affiliate, included a 5-course dinner accompanied by fabulous wines. The event also included live and silent auctions. Event co-chairs include Pat Denechaud, Marbury Little, Kristi Post and Dottie Reese. Board members include Frank Liantonio, president; Lori Barthelemy, secretary; Joseph Briand, treasurer; Hon. Paula Brown; Bridgette Collins-Burrow M.D., Ph.D.; Jennifer Greene; Henry Kothmann; Allene Thaller; and Elly Zakris M.D.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure recognizes the urgent need to save lives and end breast cancer forever. Komen for the Cure strives to change the way people think about and seek help for the disease that was once shameful to even mention. Komen has a 25-year history of patient advocacy, building awareness and raising funds for research and community programs related to breast health and breast cancer.
