NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Join the Friends of City Park for a weekly screening of their favorite horror movies under the stars at City Park.
The series will be held Aug. 21 and 28 and Sept. 4 and 11 from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Popp Fountain/Arbor Room (10 Diagonal Dr.).
Movie Schedule:
August 21 – “Us”
August 28 – “A Quiet Place”
September 4 – “Shaun of the Dead”
September 11 – “It Follows”
Details
Admission: $35.00 per person (Must be 21+ to attend)
Maximum guests: 50
Beer Menu: Michelob Ultra, Paradise Park, Bud Light, and Modelo Especial
- Scary movies, open beer bar, Tito’s jello shots, and bags of salted peanuts.
- Free raffle for beer merchandise.
- Guests provide their own blankets/chairs
- Guests will be allowed to bring their own food & beverages as well
Safety
All staff will undergo a temperature check prior to event shift. All staff will wear masks at all times. Equipment will be sanitized before,
during, and after the event. Restrooms will also be sanitized before, during, and after the event. All guests must adhere to social distancing rules. Guests will be encouraged to wear a face mask, but not required to do so. Hand sanitizer will be available to all guests in restrooms and at beer station. Staff maintaining the beer station will wear gloves at all times, and sanitize beer taps throughout the event. Social distancing among guests will be supervised by park event staff. Contracted security staff will monitor the parking lot. All guests are encouraged to use a ride share company.
