With Phase 2 reopening new parts of the city after the coronavirus pandemic, the bridal and retail world is equally a buzz this week.
I Do Bridal Couture in Baton Rouge announced a Neta Dover trunk show beginning next week from June 18-27. The show will feature the Couture & Finesse 2020 Collections from the designer. An appointment is required and can be made online at idobridalcouture.com or by calling 225-361-0377.
Belladonna Day Spa and Shop announced last week that the spa and store will officially close effective June 23. “As we are saddened that Belladonna will not reopen as a business, the Magazine Street space will become a community of independent business owners who will operate under a rented shared-space model called Magazine Wellness,” said the store in a press release about the closing. The space will house wellness experts, estheticians, skincare experts and body therapists – some of which are not new to the space or the Belladonna clientele.
Additionally, the announcement stated that Belladonna can no longer honor gift cards for services, but gift card holders are able to use the cards for in-store items at the retail shop’s going out of business sale – which will open exclusively to gift card holders June 17-18 noon to 6 p.m. The rest of the public are welcome to the final clearance sale, which will take place June 19 – 23.
The new Higgins Hotel New Orleans, across the street from the National WWII Museum, announced a new summer offer for those visiting the hotel. The hotel announced a new “Park & Stay” offer to guests that provide “an easy to book room rate inclusive of parking at the hotel’s adjacent garage.” With this offer, the hotel hopes to save guests money on parking, as the hotel is in a convenient spot when wanting to visit downtown, the French Quarter or even the Garden District and Uptown. Those looking to visit New Orleans, or couple’s opting for a staycation in the city, can book online and use the code RPPSG1 or click “Park & Stay” while making their reservation.
