Though the coronavirus pandemic continues to hinder many weddings and wedding planning, there are a few bridal-related events happening around the city in the coming days.

This week is the National Bridal Sale Event, a yearly event on the third Saturday in July designed to promote hundreds of locally owned bridal salons around the country offering sales and discounts for brides and bridal parties. Each shop gets to select its own merchandise for the event and shoppers have access to gowns and other items that may not have been available to them.

Both Town & Country Bridal on St. Charles Avenue and Pearl’s Place on Severn Avenue in Metairie are participating in the event, which many bridal salons choose to extend throughout the entire week.

Town & Country’s sale lasts through July 25, offering up to 60 percent discounts on select stock gowns. Special incentives will be applied during the event, which is by appointment only. Book at 504-523-7027.

Pearl’s Place’s sale is also extended through July 25. In stock and special-order gowns will be available with discounts ranging from 10-70 percent. Book at pearlsplace.com/appointment

In addition to the two local National Bridal Sale Events, I Do Bridal Couture in Baton Rouge is hosting an Ines Di Santo trunk show from July 23-Aug. 1. Designer representatives will be in-store during the event to offer brides a rare experience during the trunk show. The store also announced an upcoming giveaway to celebrate the store’s 8th anniversary. Book at 225-361-0377.
