There are many things a buzz in the Big Easy besides the Mardi Gras weekend. A few local wedding boutiques are hosting bridal trunk shows in the next month. Also, March 1 isn’t only Mardi Gras Day, it’s also National Wedding Planning Day.
First up, Town and Country Bridal on St. Charles Avenue is hosting a WONA Concept trunk show March 11-19. The boutique says that a bride finding her perfect dress can really reveal their unique beauty and WONA “believes that women are muses and aims to create dresses that embody their most intimate and extravagant desires.” This show is to shop their latest collection and special incentives and pricing will be applied. The show is by appointment only and that can be made here on the boutique’s website.
Town & Country’s Metairie sister boutique Linen Jolie Bridal will host two trunk shows in the month of March. First, brides can peruse what the designer calls “timeless and gorgeous” gowns from ÉLYSÉE March 10-12. At the end of the month, the boutique is hosting a Badgley Mischka trunk show March 25 and 26. The Badgley Mischka brand typically sports glamour with a hint of Old Hollywood and it is promised they bring that same enthusiasm to their bridal gowns.
Both shows have limited spacing with special pricing and incentives applied. Appointments can be reserved online here.
I Do Bridal Couture’s two locations in Baton Rouge and Covington both will have a few trunk shows in the following month. First, both locations will host a show March 4-12. The Covington location will host Nouvelle by Amsale. We love the Amsale brand for their sleek and classic style. The Baton Rouge location will host Reem Acra, which the boutique claims is the store’s newest designer. On March 11 and 12, the Covington location will host a Monique Lhuiller Spring 2022 trunk show that will “showcase floral prints and uplifting colors” to celebrate the brand’s 25th year in the bridal business. And finally, on March 25 and 26, the Covington location is hosting a Kelly Faetanini trunk show. The gowns “coming in a variety of shapes and sizes for the modern bride.”
All appointments at the two I Do locations can be booked online or by calling the stores at 985-327-5598 (Covington) and 225-361-0377.

March 1 is not only Mardi Gras Day, but is also National Wedding Planning Day. The official holiday was created by The Knot magazine in 2017 and is a great day for couples to put on the calendar for a special date night/planning session. If you’re newly engaged and don’t know where to start, New Orleans Bride and Let Them Eat Cake have you covered with our wedding planning checklist.
