Bridal News Bits

The New Orleans bridal scene is buzzing with excitement over the next week. Stores are hiring, big name designers are bringing their collections in for trunk shows and pop-ups and new styles are arriving to ensure each Big Easy bride looks beautiful on her Big Day.

First up, The Bridal Boutique by MaeMe is hosting a Justin Alexander pop-up March 9 and 10. Not only is the Be You collection coming to the store with a 10 percent discount off of any Justin Alexander dress, but brides will also enjoy a little champagne while being primped at a Corey’s Salon “style station” and a free veil with the purchase of a wedding gown.

Brides are encouraged to schedule an appointment ASAP at mae-me.com/schedule-an-appointment

Next, we’re headed to Baton Rouge, where I Do Bridal Couture will host a Bliss by Monique Lhuillier trunk show March 8 to 10. The event is the second of a two-part trunk show experience that is the largest the store has seen to date.

Brides must book an appointment at idobridalcouture.com in order to view the collection.

I Do also announced yesterday on its Instagram page there is a spot open for a part-time position. Any “happy, positive and professional” applicants can apply by sending a resume and cover letter to ido@idobridalcouture.com.

On St. Charles Avenue, Town & Country Bridal is hosting a Toni Federici trunk show through March 11. This event offers brides the chance to complete their bridal look. Veils and headpieces will be available, and they encourage brides to bring in their dress so the team can help you style your look.

Additionally, the store will host a Pronovias Atelier trunk show March 9 and 10. The boutique’s website boasts special incentives and pricing apply in accordance with the event. Each of these shows is by appointment only and brides must book on townandcountrybridal.com.

If two shows were not enough, the store announced on March 2 that it is also hiring part-time employees. Saturday availability is a must and all applicants are to send a resume and a cover letter to hello@tcbridalnola.com.

Rounding out the events, Pearl’s Place on Severn Avenue is hosting a MGNY trunk show on March 9. Dozens of gowns will arrive at the store perfect for the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom.
