The Lambeth House Foundation presented its “On Broadway” event on Thursday, October 15; this second annual fall gala fundraiser was a great success.
Co-Chairs Kit and Robert Stumm Jr. presented a wonderful evening, raising more than $60,000 for the Lambeth House Foundation. Two hundred guests attended the gala including residents, friends and family. The Stumms both have family in the Lambeth House, which made being chairs for this event dear to them.
At the gala, The Dirt Water Jazz Band played on the patio and Philip Melancon entertained guests in the parlor with cabaret. Passed hors d’oeuvres included: smoked salmon, pâté, asparagus wrapped in ham, and egg rolls, all compliments of Felipe’s Taqueria.
Filet mignon and baked ham were located at a carving station, and pirogue filled with jumbo boiled shrimp, duck breast served with fruited rice and mixed vegetables, jumbo lump crab cakes, Bananas Foster and cherries jubilee were all available courtesy of the Lambeth House chef and staff. The River Parish Disposal catered its huge kettle of fabulous jambalaya.
Liquor and champagne were provided by Republic Beverage and the Goldring Family Foundation. Wine was provided by Elio’s Wine Warehouse. The underwriters of the event included: McGlinchey Stafford PLLC, River Parish Disposal, Whitney National Bank, Acadian Ambulance, Iberia Bank, St. Denis J. Villere & Co., LLC and Triton Health Care.
