Broadway In New Orleans Announces 2022-2023 Season

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Broadway in New Orleans has announced the 2022 – 2023 schedule of performances playing at The Saenger Theatre beginning this fall. The upcoming season, which will feature the debut of MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL in 2022 and Aaron Sorkin’s record-breaking new adaptation of Harper Lee’s TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, also includes stellar performances of DISNEY’S THE LION KING, DR. SEUSS’ HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL, SIX, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, TINA —THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. The much-anticipated season kicks off in October with PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL. 

“We have a spectacular slate of shows coming to the Saenger for the 2022 – 2023 season,” said David Skinner, general manager of the Saenger Theatre. “We’re looking forward to welcoming the classics back to the Theatre, as well as introducing new favorites to our theatergoers. Celebrating its 50th Anniversary, a new mesmerizing production of the iconic musical phenomenon returns to the stage. Originally staged by London’s Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and helmed by the acclaimed director Timothy Sheader (Crazy for YouInto the Woods) and cutting-edge choreographer Drew McOnie (King KongStrictly Ballroom), this production won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival garnering unprecedented reviews and accolades.
