As a client-focused firm, what does Fitz Construction do to make sure that clients feel included and involved in the planning and execution of their projects?
At Fitz Construction, we’ve learned that involvement doesn’t mean overwhelming clients with every detail. Our approach means bringing clients into the process in the most meaningful way. From the first meeting, we sit down and establish a clear roadmap so clients understand not only what the goals are but why we are pursuing them.
Transparency is key to a healthy working relationship with our clients. Sometimes that manifests as a job site walk-through, other times it is a review of selections. Either way, we create a structure that allows clients to be a team member in the process without burdening them with details. The goal is for them to feel confident and informed, not stressed.

What is the key to good communication with clients?
Clarity and consistency are the key points of good communication.
By focusing on being proactive instead of reactive, we are able to address potential challenges before they snowball out of proportion, giving us ample opportunity to explain decisions. Surprises are not fun for anybody, and so long as clients know what to expect and feel empowered to ask questions, projects can run smoothly and successfully.
Is there a time when good communication and optimal customer service led to the enrichment of a project?
Collaboration is of the utmost importance. On one recent project, ongoing communication allowed a client to become more confident in the process as the build progressed, which allowed us to utilize certain design elements that enriched the project.
By building upon that solid foundation of communication, client relationships are not just kept on the rails but made substantially better to improve the whole project.
