Your specialty seems to be specializing in everything. Can you expand on that and break down how you approach these jobs?
While the project types may vary, our approach remains consistent across every job. MLM carefully scrutinizes the drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps, conflicts, or missing information early in the process. We then generate detailed Requests for Information and coordinate directly with the design team to obtain clear answers before work begins or even before a bid is submitted. This process is driven not only by MLM’s internal team, but also through collaboration with subcontractors and suppliers who help identify potential issues before they become costly problems during construction. Our goal is to minimize surprises, reduce change order exposure, maintain tighter schedules, and create a smoother experience for both clients and design teams.
Are there any recent jobs or projects that you are particularly proud of?
One of our most recent completed projects was the BankPlus Fire Restoration project, which was an excellent collaboration with a strong architectural team and a very rewarding restoration effort.
Another standout project was the Fairfield Inn by Marriott 7-year cycle renovation completed last year. It was a fast-paced hospitality renovation that required careful coordination, scheduling, and execution while maintaining brand standards and operational demands.
In addition, we’ve recently completed several high-end residential projects featuring exceptional craftsmanship, custom details, and premium finishes that truly showcase the quality and versatility of our team.
