The New Orleans wedding scene shows no signs of slowing down. Companies have recently announced new openings, trunk shows and national honors.
First up, I Do Bridal Couture will host a GALA by Galia Lahav trunk show Dec. 14 through 16. The design collection has a romantic, yet sexy vibe. Though we have just been introduced to this designer, the collection is comparable to Berta collections with sleek silhouettes, lace and dramatic neck and back lines. Appointments must be booked in advance at idobridalcouture.com.
The Bourbon Orleans was recently included in WeddingWire’s “7 Best Places To Elope in The U.S.” The online market place noted in its announcement that lately couples have been moving away from traditional and looking for a small, intimate option to say “I Do.”
They noted New Orleans’ rich history and perfect location to elope then continue on to other quintessential Southern locations. It’s suggested couple’s start their nuptials at the on-site St. Ann Cottage and have a second line dancing through the streets of the French Quarter.

Big Freedia is the Queen of New Orleans Bounce, and has made her mark on the world with her bounce hits and matchless showmanship. Now, the Queen Diva has turned her attention to a new, non-musical venture – rosé. Now available at Second Vine Wine, 1027 Touro St., Ca’ Di Freedia is Freedia’s nod to a favorite wine she fell in love with while traveling in Italy, Ca’ Di Frara.
Not only does this add another rosé to your collection, but also it is the perfect gift for a bachelorette party or stock the bar shower. In addition to her new wine venture, the Queen of Bounce is launching a new cookbook. Big Freedia is set to take over your kitchen.
