The Best of April
Bywater BeautySetting the style for spring—that’s what this issue is all about, whether it is fashion in “Bywater Beauty,” or in home design, as seen in the fabulously decorated rooms in the Junior League of Greater Covington’s Northshore Designer Showhouse VI.

Bywater BeautyImagine a Victorian cottage in the Bywater filled with an over-the-top collection of gilt mirrors, Oriental rugs, eclectic chandeliers and wall-to-wall vintage curiosities, then add a sultry Southern belle playing dress up in thoroughly modern style. The 1894 house and its contents constantly shape-shift depending on the mood of its owner, Marcus Fraser, who also owns the Le Garage on Decatur Street in the French Quarter. The impossibly unique setting of his home, garden and neo-classic gallery provide the perfect counterpoint to spring’s distinctly feminine fashion— from a collector’s point of view.
