NEW ORLEANS (press release) – On the first Saturday evening in June, thousands of runners will run from the Westbank to the Eastbank over the iconic Crescent City Connection Bridge as they compete in the Caesars Sportsbook Crescent Connection Bridge Run. This year’s race on Saturday, June 4, will be the CCC’s third in-person race and first Bridge Run since 2019 when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down in person racing. CCC Officials announced that the long-standing route will be converted from a 4-mile race to a 5k (3.1-mile) race with the starting line near Oakwood Center and the finish line and post-race party at Fulton Street.
“The Crescent Connection Bridge Race is back and is changing to more friendly 5k route,” said Crescent City Classic Race Director Eric Stuart. “The course across the Crescent City Connection provides picturesque views of downtown New Orleans around sunset so it’s a scene and race you don’t want to miss.”
This year’s Crescent Connection Bridge Run will be the first with Caesars Sportsbook as the title sponsor. The unique course over one of Louisiana’s oldest and most ionic bridges begins near Oakwood Center at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 4 and ends at Fulton Street. Once runners and walkers finish, they can partake in the post-race party with drinks, food and live music on Fulton Street near Manning’s.
Registration for this year’s CCC Bridge Run is open online at www.ccc10k.com and is $40 for runners and walkers who sign up by midnight on May 28. The price will then increase to $45. All registrants will receive the official 2022 Bridge Run t-shirt, highly sought-after finisher medal and keepsake race bib.
