Dr. Camenzuli attended the University of New Orleans for his bachelor’s degree before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. While a trip to the dentist might cause anxiety in some, Dr. Camenzuli remembers one of his first times visiting the dentist as an intriguing adventure, one that would shape the arc of his life.
“I got my braces from the LSU School of Dentistry when I was a teenager,” says Dr. Camenzuli. “There, I saw firsthand what a dental school really looked like. And soon after, I discovered that so many people in their day-to-day life hide their teeth when they smile. I wanted to help them smile, and my path to becoming a dentist was set.”
Establishing a legacy passed down to generations, Dr. Camenzuli’s daughter Juliette has joined the practice as a dental assistant, preparing her way to attend dental school and follow in her father’s footsteps. The joy of sharing his passion for helping others while mentoring a younger dentist who is as passionate about the work as he is, and just so happens to also be his daughter, is a rare opportunity not lost on Dr. Camenzuli.
“I have two daughters, twins. One, Veronica, wants to be a lawyer, and the other, Juliette, wants to be a dentist. The chance to continue the legacy of dental care that I provide through someone I love feels like a miracle,” says Dr. Camenzuli. “I’m now able to see my work through fresh eyes and feel a renewed purpose to continue to help as many people as possible.”
