NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Longtime CBD cocktail lounge and restaurant Victory, reopens post-COVID-19 as Baroness On Baronne. What’s different? All new decor, new menu, expanded craft cocktail selections, outdoor seating and a lot of fun activities. Whitworth has also introduced a house DJ (DJ Vintage) on Friday evenings and a jazz band every Sunday evening.
Whitworth and new partner Sidney Webb say, “After 12 fun years as Victory, it seemed the right time for an awesome change, it was the right time to rebrand after COVID with the new name and enhanced menu options.”
Baroness on Baronne is located in the heart of downtown New Orleans and has a talented team with decades of experience and a dedication to classic and vintage cocktails and amazing menu options. The small gourmet plates are perfectly portioned light bites to pair with the perfect cocktail.
The old Victory has new life and excitement. As soon as you walk in the door, guests are greeting with a free sample cocktail of the day, uniquely made.
With new management, and departure of former co-owner, Whitworth is now the proprietor of Baroness On Baronne and The New Orleans Drink Lab, which is an interactive cocktail venue that serves as an incubator for cocktail education and fun hands-on classes. The Drink Lab is popular for teaching locals and visitors how to make classic New Orleans cocktails in a fun 90-minute mixology class.
Both businesses are now majority female and minority-owned and operated by Whitworth, who is also a 27-year professional journalist and creator of her own media company, MediaPro.
Baroness On Baronne is currently open Wednesday through Sunday.
“I look forward to continuing to serve our community, having a venue to uplift and train upcoming talent and being able to hire people in the struggling hospitality industry,” says Whitworth.
