Owned by Bruce Farrell and managed by B.J. Farrell, Campbell Cabinet Co. offers kitchen and bath products at competitive prices. It opened in 1972 as Campbell Building Materials, a company that sold building materials to contractors and homeowners, but over the years it found its niche in the kitchen and bath market.
“We’ve grown to one of the largest cabinet distributors in Louisiana and Mississippi servicing contractors and homeowners,” B.J. says. The company has locations in Harahan; Mandeville; and Picayune, Miss. Campbell’s staff includes certified kitchen designers as well as interior designers. The company offers cabinets in oak, maple, cherry, hickory and white, in styles ranging from contemporary to country.
Where do you get your items?
All of our kitchen cabinets are built in
the United States. This is important, especially today with the recession in
our country because it keeps the dollars
and business here.
Do you have any specials this month?
One of our brands, Schrock Cabinetry, is offering a free glaze promotion through
July 10. We also offer granite countertops starting at $29 per square foot installed.
What sort of clientele do you reach?
We sell to contractors, builders, homeowners and interior designers.
What’s the first thing you discuss with a client?
The first thing we discuss with our client is the function of their kitchen and/or bath. Kitchens and baths today are designed with the homeowner’s family, needs and function in mind. Years ago, cabinets were placed in the kitchen to fill up space; today,
they are designed for efficiency.
What are some current trends?
We have seen a trend to paint with a glaze finish on cabinets; also, the Shaker style has been very popular for several years now. F
