Chocolate enthusiasts citywide gathered at Generations Hall on Feb. 10, for WYES-TV’s 6th Annual Chocolate Sunday. Guests sampled countless confections at this sweet affair, including sweet and savory dishes, desserts and cocktails.
Participants included Creole Creamery, Cold Stone Creamery (Riverbend), Community Coffee, Blue Frog Chocolates, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, La Côte Brasserie, La Divina Gelateria, Andrea’s Restaurant and Catering, Omni Royal Orleans Rib Room, Wolf Rock Chocolate (from New Hampshire) and Riche Restaurant.
Party guests at the VIP level enjoyed early entrance to the event and were the first to sample chocolates. VIP guests were also treated to a chocolate tea tasting, with beverages by Vianne’s Tea Salon & Café, Glazer’s Companies of Louisiana and Republic National Distributing Company, who also contributed beverages to the main event, served special chocolate cocktails for the VIPs.
Proceeds from the event, which was sponsored by Capital One, benefited PBS local affiliate WYES-TV.
