NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Son of a Saint announcesd that Capital One has provided 50 memberships to Tulane University’s Riptide’s Kids Club presented by Raising Cane’s, for mentees of Son of a Saint who are in 6th grade or younger.
The Riptide’s Kids Club is a special program that offers young fans access to exclusive Tulane Green Wave experiences and souvenirs, including an official Riptide’s Kids Club T-Shirt Jersey (‘Shirsey’), a lanyard with a member ID card, a mini pennant and a Raising Cane’s Kids Meal, among other benefits. In honor of the designated Riptide’s Kids Club football game held at Yulman Stadium on Sept. 28 the excitement was in the air for Son of a Saint’s mentees to become members of the club.
To commemorate this opportunity, the team from Capital One, along with Tulane’s beloved Green Wave mascot, Riptide, visited the Son of a Saint Clubhouse in Mid-City on Sept. 26. The visit included a fun-filled meet and greet with mentees, as well as the distribution of some of the prize pack items included with the membership. This hands-on engagement not only brought smiles to the faces of Son of a Saint youth but also underscored Capital One’s unwavering commitment to supporting the organization and its mission.

Capital One has been a dedicated partner to Son of a Saint since 2018, providing crucial support through grant funding for COVID-19 relief, financial backing for educational and career development programs, and expanded investment in initiatives aimed at Son of a Saint’s upperclassmen and alumni mentees. The ongoing partnership has empowered the organization to make a lasting impact on the lives of young men across the Greater New Orleans area.
Through initiatives like Riptide’s Kids Club membership inclusion and more, Son of a Saint and Capital One continue to work together creatively to provide unforgettable experiences for mentees while advancing the organization’s broader mission of transforming lives through mentorship, education, and holistic support.
Son of a Saint holistically sponsors youth between the ages of 10 and 21, providing mentorship, education, mental health services, travel experiences to expand horizons, as well as internship and career-development learning opportunities. The organization currently serves more than 350 youth across Greater New Orleans, including its cohort of more than 260 mentees plus additional scholarship support to students via its Son of a Saint Scholars program.
