NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Drink like a king all Carnival season long at Easy Virtue Restaurant and Bar in the Warehouse District. The new, seven day-a-week brunch spot has created a festive Carnival Cocktails drinks menu. Now through Mardi Gras day, thirsty and Carnival-loving patrons can enjoy cocktails inspired by the season, such as the Smokey Mary, Zulu Painkiller, King Cake Martini, and Bacchus Sangria.
The Smokey Mary, inspired by the famous multi-section Orpheus float of the same name, is a variation on a Bloody Mary featuring Ojo de Tigre mezcal, smoked paprika and smoked sea salt. The King Cake Martini, inspired by everyone’s favorite Mardi Gras treat, is a martini combining vanilla vodka and Gambino’s King Cake Rum liqueur and garnished with purple, green and gold sugar. The Zulu Painkiller is a twist of the tropical Tiki classic with Bacardi Anejo Rum, pineapple, coconut, and mango garnished with toasted coconut.
