- Jill Mercer of Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation reception hall said she incorporated a s’more’s bar into her menu after a recent bride requested one. It was so popular with the wedding guests and brought playful flair to the rustic outdoor spaces. Also, Mercer provides small, clear bags so the guests can take the treat home. It’s a fun alternative and can double as a tasty wedding favor. Add a cute bag with a monogram or some other design and your wedding favors are set.
Blue Dot Donuts- Locally owned, Blue Dot Donuts can fill your wedding guests hands with glazed goodness. Instead of tiers of cake, display tiers of donuts right on your dessert table. This is also a delicious late-night snack to send home with your guests.

- Fruit parfaits in champagne glasses: Not every wedding needs sugary treats. If fruit is more your style, pass out individual fruit parfaits to your guests. Add a dollop of yogurt and some garnishes and let your guests create their own. It’s a great way to avoid a sugar crash at the end of the night.

- Cinnamon Roll Cake: Are you having a mid-morning brunch special for your nuptials? Have your baker create a cinnamon roll cake as a breakfast alternative to your wedding cake.
