Things are beginning to open up more and more around town and we're sure many of you are looking forward to enjoying our favorite places – safely, of course. Many spots are offering drink specials that are meant to grab attention and we would like to say, it’s working. We have a few ideas of great places to visit if you are out and about.
Flamingo-A-Go-Go (869 Magazine St.) says since time basically has little meaning after quarantine, they offer a frosé-o-clock. The Flamingo team also serves bottomless drinks with your meal that include frosé, margaritas and mimosas for $15. (These options are also available to-go!) Many of their "flocktails" include bloody Mary’s, hibiscus mule and a forester old fashioned, to name a few. The outdoor patio makes it easy to social distance and enjoy cocktails on tap, frozen "flocktails," beer and wine. A great downtown spot we highly recommend you check out.
Seaworthy (630 Carondelet St.) is practicing it's best COVID practices and even has an outdoor seating areas in the front and the back of the downtown spot. On Sunday’s, they serve up crawfish and, as far as cocktails, the bartenders offer a selection of artisanal drinks, proprietary “session” cocktails, craft beers and other options that are notorious for satisfying our thirst. Happy hour runs from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. and there is a late night happy hour from 10 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Pluck Wine Bar & Restaurant (722 Girod St.) is described as a place for the curious drinkers as well as savvy connoisseurs. After all, they say, there really is not wrong way to drink wine...except in bad company. This place is brand new and opened on March 24. We asked about a happy hour, and they are working on it, but right now you can get wine by the glass or bottle and a selection of beers. It’s located in the heart of the Warehouse District and the focus is on serving great wine at all price points. The team of sommeliers pour world class bottles in a comfortable atmosphere. Currently, Pluck is open Wednesday - Sunday from 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. Let’s raise a glass and welcome them to the scene.
