Back in grade school, the first day of school felt like a new beginning. A chance to debut the things you’d picked up over the summer. Maybe you’d gotten taller, mastered a new hobby, traveled to a far way land or just felt different somehow? But whatever it was, that first day back seemed the most opportune time to debut this updated version of yourself. Your “you.0.”
So, what better way to head into the school year than with a few special additions? Maybe a new tutu key chain to express your growing interest in ballet? Or maybe a fold up scooter to show everyone how independent you’ve become? Whatever it is, as a parent I say welcome this expression. Sure, it can feel draining when our kids ask for THINGS all the time but in this case, consider this little purchase a big investment in helping them feel fully themselves.
