Keith Leblanc, Jr., MD, FAAD, FACMS, founded The Skin Surgery Centre after coming out of his fellowship with the aim to curate a personal, attentive experience for each and every patient. The physicians at the Skin Surgery Centre across greater New Orleans, the Northshore and the Mississippi Gulf Coast are experts in skin cancer and Mohs surgery and are attentive to best practices in guidance, consistency and communication. Dr. Elizabeth Bucher is now a co-owner of the practice with Dr. Leblanc, and the two are joined by Dr. Corey Rougelot; all three are Board Certified Dermatologists and Fellowship-trained in Mohs micrographic surgery, currently the most effective and advanced treatment for certain types of skin cancer. Mohs surgery offers the highest potential for a cure even if the skin cancer has been previously treated by another method. The Mohs method allows for removal of as little skin as needed to cure the skin cancer, and the Fellowship training completed by the doctors included advanced reconstruction techniques to achieve excellent cosmetic and functional results.
