Celebrating A Legacy

The Newcomb Art Gallery at Tulane University celebrated its 15th Anniversary with a gala held on April 13 at the home of Sybil Favrot, co-chair of the Newcomb Art Gallery along with Carol Cudd. The gala celebrated the Newcomb Art Gallery and honored its founders.

Honorees were Eugenie Huger, Luise Reiss Rogas, Rosa Keller, Dr. Jessica Poesch and founders of the Newcomb Art Gallery, including honorary board members Francoise Richardson, Harriet Jung, Kendall Shaw and Yvette Jones. The gala included appetizers, dinner and both silent and main auctions, along with musical entertainment. Auction items centered on the theme of Newcomb Art legacy.

The Newcomb Art Gallery’s mission is to be a vibrant and innovative visual arts gallery that serves both the Tulane University and the New Orleans communities with diverse offerings and programs. The gallery develops, exhibits and preserves the Newcomb and Tulane art collections and is recognized as a leader and active partner in the enhancement of cultural life in the city, region and nation.
