Celebrating Love

Though the coronavirus pandemic is still an issue we’re dealing with well into 2021, the city has lifted restrictions and New Orleans weddings are beginning to get back on track. Love was never cancelled and we want to celebrate your love and your wedding.

No matter what the details changed to or your nuptials ended up looking like this year or in 2020, we’re looking for real New Orleans weddings for both New Orleans Bride magazine and the “Let Them Eat Cake” blog.

If you’re interested in your wedding possibly being featured in the magazine or on the blog there is a checklist of items we will need from you.

First, we will need a word document with vendor details.

Please include:

  • Couple’s full name
  • Date of the wedding
  • Ceremony location
  • Reception location
  • Coordinator
  • Gown (designer and store)
  • Bridesmaids’ dresses (designer and store)
  • Men’s attire (store)
  • Rings
  • Florist
  • Caterer
  • Cake
  • Photographer
  • Videographer
  • Hair (stylist and salon)
  • Makeup (stylist and salon)
  • Music
  • Any other vendors you’d like to include

Second, we will need high-resolution (4×6 / 300dpi) photographs of the following elements of the wedding.

  • Couple
  • Bridesmaids and groomsmen
  • Cake
  • Rings
  • Flowers
  • Ceremony
  • Reception
  • Wedding favors
  • Second line
  • Detail shots of shoes, dress, jewelry
  • Detail shots of the décor
  • Five other photos of your choice

To submit the wedding, a download link of photos and the word document can be sent to tiffani@myneworleans.com with the subject line of “Real Wedding Submission.”

It is important to note, just because a wedding is submitted through this process – or if there is a follow up from the magazine or from Kelly (kelly@myneworleans.com) for the blog – does not guarantee that the wedding will be published or the date or issue it will be published.

We want to continue to celebrate New Orleans couples and the vendors that make their weddings the spectacular events they turn out to be.

If there are any questions please email kelly@myneworleans.com.
