A New Orleans staple with two locations throughout the city, Breads On Oak, opened in 2012 by Chamain O’Mahony and her husband Sean, offers the finest in organic plant-based baked goods, sourdough breads, and healthy meals.

After earning a CPA and MBA, Chamain started her career as a chemist before becoming a trade association executive in Washington, DC, and then serving as a principal in a successful woman-owned consulting firm. The O’Mahony’s desire to promote healthy food options was their main motivation in creating Breads On Oak where locals and tourists alike could come for good food and vibes, with fresh produce provided from Chamain’s own garden. Always a fan of Oak Street since her Tulane years, Chamain also serves on the Board of Oak Street Merchants, Residence, and Property Owners as Treasurer. Despite her busy schedule, Chamain still makes time to paint and manage her artwork business, The Creole Cat.
