Changing the Face of Homelessness

David Bottner is Executive Director of the New Orleans Mission. The New Orleans Mission plays an important role in helping New Orleans’ homeless get back on their feet.

The mission’s overnight shelter houses 215 people, and it reserves 32 beds specifically for women.

In addition to getting people off of the streets and onto paths to lead healthy, fulfilling lives, the mission works hard to increase the public’s awareness about homelessness and change perceptions about who the homeless are. Accordingly, the theme of the 2016 gala fundraiser is “Changing the Face of Homelessness.” The mission’s annual gala will be on Friday, Nov. 4 at the Hyatt Hotel. One hundred percent of gala proceeds will benefit the New Orleans Mission. For tickets, visit NewOrleansMission.org.

In addition to welcoming vital monetary donations, the New Orleans Mission is always looking for volunteers.
