The Knot recently reported that a record number of weddings will take place throughout the rest of 2022 as restrictions are lifted, more people are vaccinated and we all live a more germ-conscious existence. One pandemic-induced necessity that we think will stay the course of the next few years in weddings is that of the individual servings of food for wedding receptions and events.
Recently, a local Instagram influencer (Tiffany King of @wefivekings) posted a photo of an individual charcuterie cone. Charcuterie in general is having a moment, but pair that with the ability to pick up your mini charcuterie “board” and eat as you enjoy a party or event seems ingenious. Not only does this cover the desire to keep COVID-19 and other germs at bay; but it also lends itself to a cute, customizable addition to any party.
In King’s Instagram post, the event had both champagne on tap with Bubble Tap NOLA, as well as the charcuterie cones from That Cheese Chick.
What we like best about That Cheese Chick’s offerings, especially the charcuterie cones, is that they are customizable. They can be a fun addition, and can be part of the theme for a shower or engagement party. Our first thought was this would be great for couples that love travel and food from different countries. Pair their favorite places around the globe with the cheese and meats from that locale to complete the theme.
The company also creates individual boxes, as well as date boxes. Since a charcuterie board is rarely a bad idea, order a few individual boxes for your bridesmaids while you’re getting ready for your Big Day or opt for a pre-wedding check-in or wedding planning evening with your future spouse with the Date Night Box that also comes with two mini bottles of wine.
If we weren’t on board immediately at the words charcuterie cones, we were definitely hooked when we learned that each box or board That Cheese Chick puts together can have French macarons added into the mix.
We see receptions ending with mini charcuterie cone and, a French macaron as a late-night or to-go snack.
That Cheese Chick is based out of Slidell, but is available for events all over the Greater New Orleans area and can be found on Instagram here.
