Chef Isaac Toups to Talk Food, New Orleans and Cookbook on CBS “The Dish” Saturday, May 25

 

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – NOLA’s very own Isaac Toups, Chef/Owner of Toups South and Toups Meatery, is scheduled to appear on CBS This Morning’s “The Dish” this coming Saturday, May 25.

“I’m a big fan of The Dish,”said Toups. “I like that they just all sit around and chat with a big table of food in front of them, and it doesn’t hurt that it will be my food!”

Toups will showcase a variety of his signature dishes from Toups South and Toups Meatery, as well as some from his award-winning cookbook “Chasing the Gator: Isaac Toups and the New Cajun Cooking” (October 2018, Little, Brown). Dishes include his famed pork chop stack, dirty rice, sticky collards and cane syrup hand pies.

“The Dish” is a food-related segment that typically highlights a chef or restaurant owner by exploring the dishes they love and the city in which they live.

CBS This Morning Saturday’s segment featuring Isaac Toups will air around 7:30 a.m. CST, Saturday, May 25 on WWL-TV.
