NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Cuban funk pioneer Cimafunk returns to New Orleans for TWO dates during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival! On Friday, April 29, two unique musical cultures rooted in centuries of tradition – Cuba and New Orleans – will come together for a night of musical magic at the Broadside when The Soul Rebels join Cimafunk for this special night. And on Thursday, May 5, Cimafunk celebrates Jazz Fest AND Cinco de Mayo with an epic evening of Cuban music sure to be one of the hottest Jazz Fest “after hours” shows in town.
