Cochon Butcher and La Boulangerie Holiday Catering Menus and Gifting Ideas

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Chefs Donald Link and Stephen Stryjewski recently announced Cochon Butcher and La Boulangerie are now taking holiday catering orders. The award-winning culinary team of the Link Restaurant Group has crafted catering menus featuring Butcher holiday favorites and La Boulangerie desserts for a holiday feast to be served at home. Menu items can be ordered online at cochonbutcher.com by Sunday, Dec. 20, and are available for pick-up Wednesday, Dec. 23, from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Orders from the bakery can be placed at laboulangerienola.com throughout the holiday season. For those looking to celebrate the holidays with family and friends at one of the Link Restaurant Group restaurants, online reservations are recommended.

New this year, send the gift of Cochon Butcher anywhere through Goldbelly.com. With six meat package options, there is something for everyone. Link Restaurant Group also has gift cards available for easy gifting for friends and family that prefer to dine out. “With many families social distancing, it’s easy to share a meal virtually by sending one through goldbelly.com,” said Stephen Stryjewski. “This year, we have created many options for celebrating with family—at home, from afar, and in our restaurants. We invite you to explore all of our catering menus, restaurant menus, and gift ideas online today.”

This year’s Butcher catering menu features a marinated standing beef rib roast, ready to cook at home, and half gallons and gallons of Butcher Boozy Eggnog. Also available are Bell & Evans turkeys, boudin stuffed Bell & Evans turkeys, jambalaya stuffed chicken, smoked beef ribeye, marinated pork crown roast, and Butcher ham. Sides, soups, and bread are served in small and large sizes and include shrimp and eggplant dressing, broccoli and rice casserole, cranberry satsuma sauce, and chicken and sausage gumbo. House-made charcuterie and Cajun meats and sausages are also on the catering menu.

The La Boulangerie holiday catering menu features the yule log this year, available in small or large sizes. The yule log is a traditional French Christmas dessert that dates back to the 18th Century. This cake represents the yule log that families would burn on Christmas Eve and were thought to bring good luck in the year to come. “I couldn’t have thought of a better dessert to feature on this year’s holiday menu,” said Maggie Scales, Link Restaurant Group Executive Pastry Chef. “The prospect of good luck in the new year is something that all of us are looking forward to. In addition to our yule log, we have so many other special items and desserts to share with family and friends this holiday season.” The bakery menu includes two breakfast packages—The Bagel Box and The Salmon Bagel Box; and hors d’oeuvres, table breads, bread crumbs, and crackers. For dessert, Scales offers an extensive assortment of pies, tarts, and cakes. Also new this holiday season are chocolate chip minis and lemon shortbread tubes. Perfect for gifts and stocking stuffers or a Christmas movie snack. The tubes are available in the shop daily or online with 48-hour notice.
