A native New Orleanian, Kim Glazer moved to New York as a teenager, where she nurtured a love for museums, theater, and cultural organizations, and wondered about those less fortunate not being exposed. Her parents instilled in her the value of philanthropy and giving back.
Glazer is President of The Jerome S. Glazer Foundation and has enjoyed working for Saks Fifth Avenue since 1996. She has served on the boards of numerous organizations, including the Audubon Commission, Louisiana Legends Park, and for the past 25 years she has served on the board of Young Audiences of Louisiana. The organization recently launched a charter school with the mission of providing a rigorous, academic experience through an arts-educated curriculum.
Glazer says, “My role in supporting numerous organizations, especially Young Audiences of Louisiana, has offered me more of a sense of purpose and it’s been gratifying seeing the results. Seeing these children grow with in the Young Audience family offers so much hope for their future and hope for ours.”
